Sport: The 218.4 kilometer long race had a start and finish in the Belgian capital.

Abrahamsen finished the best of all and finally got the pro victory many have pointed out over time that he has earned. Skiensgutten thus confirmed top form just a few weeks before the start of this year’s Tour de France.

Råsterke Abrahamsen, with the nickname “Grenlandsplogen”, has made a name for herself as an extremely strong bride rider. On Sunday, he broke away from the tight group together with Slovak Martin Svrcek with around 15 kilometers to go.

The two would prove to be very difficult to catch.

Alexander Kristoff has lined up victories recently. On Saturday he went to the top for the fourth time in a month when there was a sprint triumph in Heistse Pijl. On Sunday, however, the veteran had nothing to do with the outcome.

Along the way, Kristoff ended up in a larger group behind the front. For a long time it seemed that the Norwegian would make contact again, but it did not work out that way. Despite the tight group’s lead at one point being down to 15 seconds, Kristoff had to see the victory fight go to waste.

Abrahamsen is a self-signed member of the Uno-X Tour de France team. This summer’s cycling festival in France starts in Florence on 29 June.
