The American ‘rapper’ Kanye West, recently involved in controversy, announced his candidacy for the presidential elections in the United States in 2024 and claimed to have offered the post of vice president to Donald Trump.
“I asked him to be my vice president”, said the artist, ensuring that the former head of state “began to scream”.
Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, posted a series of videos on Twitter overnight Thursday and into the early hours of today with the “Ye 24” logo.
In one of them, the 45-year-old rapper recalls a conversation he had with Trump, who has also announced his candidacy for the 2024 election.
Ye had already embarked on an unlikely run in the 2020 presidential election, garnering 70,000 votes.
Trump confirmed today that he had dinner with the musician at his residence in Florida, but assured that the meal was “quick” and “without history”.
At the center of several controversies, Ye has been heavily criticized in recent weeks for wearing a T-shirt with the phrase “White Lives Matter” and for posting anti-Semitic comments on Instagram and Twitter.
On Thursday, his former sponsor Adidas announced the opening of an investigation after officials from the German sports company accused the ‘rapper’ of inappropriate sexual behavior and intimidation.
