BELAIT, NOV 22 – Mashhor Group Of Companies (MGCSB) recently organized an Emergency Response Exercise (ERE) focusing on Emergency Preparedness, Search and Rescue and Mass Evacuation which took place around their main office at G22, Jalan Pangsa , Series.
The training was led by the Safety, Health and Environment (HSSE) Corporate Group and Asset Manager, Awang Mohd Rizal bin Dr Haji Abdul Latif, focused on evacuation during a fire situation, with the code name Operasi Tegas 2.
Also present were the On-Scene-Commander (OSC), Awang Abdul Wadoud bin Awang Hamdani, as well as members of the local authorities consisting of the Emergency Medical and Ambulance Service (EMAS), the Fire and Rescue Department (JBP), and the Royal Brunei Police Force. (PPDB).
The exercise involved a mass evacuation of more than 180 personnel from all MGCSB premises and also included simulations of real situations such as searching and rescuing missing persons, treating injured victims, and managing hazardous material spills.
The data collected through the exercise will provide an overview of the events that took place where it is used as a reference in providing improvements and learning during the postmortem session after the ERE event held that day.
