Sport: Lund rows single sculls and had qualified directly for the A final with 2nd place in the preliminary heat. In the final, she was just over three seconds behind Olivia Bates, but her efforts held up a lot to 2nd place.

Dutch Tosca Kettler was third, and she was beaten by over four seconds by Lund.

Earlier on Saturday, three more Norwegian boats qualified for the A finals. There was drama in a purely Norwegian duel in the men’s round-up heat in double sculls.

Jonas Juel and Erik Solbakken were the strongest of the two Norwegian pairs and made it to the A final in the heat which was won by Germany’s Jonas Gelsen/Marc Weber.

Oscar Helvig and Kristoffer Brun had to lose to their Norwegian competitors by seven tenths of a second. The 3rd place means that they will row the B final.

The A-final, on the other hand, will be held by Inger Seim Kavlie, who impressed with victory in the semi-final in single sculls in a time of 7.34.01. She was over two seconds faster than her nearest competitor.

Lars Benske and Ask Tjøm will also row the A final in the lightweight double sculls. They progressed from the collection heat with 2nd place behind an Italian boat.

Kjetil Borch won the D-final in single sculls after being knocked out in the quarter-finals on Friday.

The Norwegian double four with Mathias Foyner Wie, Erling Øyasæter, Ole Amund Storlien and Martin Helseth finished last in their collection heat and ends up in the B final.
