KUALA LUMPUR, 28 NOV – The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) aims to attract 1.5 million visitors and generate RM13 billion in trade and investment through the participation of the Malaysia Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo next year.
Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said the target was not just a ministry mission but also a national mission that would bring great benefits to the country.
“With the level of construction now reaching 73.91 percent, the Malaysia Pavilion is designed to showcase the country’s heritage, spirit of innovation and commitment to sustainability, under the theme Weaving a Future in Harmony.
“This pavilion will become a symbol of the unity between tradition and technology and one of the main attractions at this Expo,” he said through a post on his official Facebook today.
Tengku Zafrul in the context of a visit to the location of the expo in Yumeshima Island, Kansai, Japan after the Prime Minister’s official visit to Seoul, South Korea.
