A MAN has been charged with murder after a woman, 56, was horrifically stabbed to death yesterday.
Roger Harriott, of Linthwaite, in West Yorkshire has been charged with the brutal murder of Sandra Harriott.

The 56-year-old will appear before Leeds magistrates today, facing another charge of possession of an offensive weapon.
This comes after West Yorkshire Police were called to Ripon Avenue, in Fartown yesterday morning to reports of a woman with serious stab wounds.
The victim had received emergency treatment at the scene but tragically died a short while later in hospital.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: “Roger Harriott, of Manchester Road, Linthwaite, has been detained in police custody to appear before the morning session of Leeds Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Sandra Harriott.
“Enquiries remain ongoing by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team into the murder, which occurred at about 6.59am on Ripon Avenue yesterday.”
