Crime and justice: The man’s defender, lawyer Zulifqar Munir, tells NTB.

The accused denies criminal guilt. The police wanted to imprison the man for four weeks, but the Oslo District Court thought two weeks was enough.

The man was questioned on Friday, police prosecutor Ulrikke Basthus told NTB.

He is charged with grievous bodily harm after a man in his 50s was stabbed at Vår Frelsers Gravlund in central Oslo just before 9pm on Wednesday evening. The man in his 40s turned up himself at the police station in Oslo the next day and was then arrested.

The police have previously said that the stabbing was probably not random. Basthus currently does not wish to say anything specific about the relationship between the two.

– The accused is somewhat known to the police, but it does not appear that there are connections to a criminal environment, she says.

The offended man has been discharged from the hospital.
