Accidents and natural disasters: The police first reported the incident at 6.30pm on Wednesday. Then the police in Agder wrote in the police log that a person had possibly gone under water and that the person was missing.

Just before 7 p.m., they stated that the person received life-saving first aid after being pulled from the water.

The police’s incident leader at the scene, Stig Torbjørnsen, says Agderposten that the injured person is a man who had obvious problems in the water.

– When we got to the scene it was a witness who had found him at the bottom and got him up. Health personnel implemented life-saving first aid immediately, says Torbjørnsen.

According to the newspaper, life-saving first aid was still taking place when the man was taken to hospital in an ambulance shortly after 7pm.

The police estimate that the man may have been underwater for up to 15 minutes, but the emergency manager currently has no further information about the man’s state of health.
