Marlboro, Roosevelt split matches – Daily Freeman

NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Emily Tarsio and Stevemarie Amato led the Marlboro High girls bowling team to a win over Roosevelt on Thursday at Pat Tarsio Lanes.

The Roosevelt boys earned a split by winning their match 4-1 against the Dukes.

Tarsio had high games of 182 and 180 in her three-game series of 520. Amato had a high game of 179 in her 512 series.

Paige Brooks (181-497) also contributed to Marlboro’s 4-1 victory.

Roosevelt’s Ike Rothman had a blistering 722 series to lead the Presidents over the Dukes in the boys’ competition. Rothman’s single games were 232, 242 and 248.

Will Slater also contributed to Roosevelt’s win with a 628 series with a high game of 227. Carson Palmer (238-584), Patrick Tarsio (201-567) and Andrez Smith-Vazquez (176-513) led Marlboro.

The sectionals for girls will take place Monday, Feb. 12, starting at 9 a.m. at Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie. The sectionals for boys will be Tuesday, Feb. 13, starting at 9 a.m. at Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie.
