Are Dons ‘down and dirty’ or just a bit unwashed?
The new MK Dons shirts by Castore have certainly split opinion and got chins wagging. Whether you like them or hate them, you have to admit they’re unique!
This week, chairman Pete Winkelman came out in defence of the ‘down and dirty’ shirt, saying they will only be sticking around for a season.
Manning on the challenge of facing Wednesday
It’s a big afternoon everyone should look forward to. There will be a good noise in the place, the pitch is looking fantastic and the players have trained really well this week. We have to bounce back as a group now, and I’m confident we can go into the game tomorrow we’ll step up and deliver ‘us’.
We know about Sheffield Wednesday, the size of the club, the fanbase, the fact they are recruiting players from teams going up to the Championship, but for me it’s about us, trying to impose our style, and play with a bit of confidence, style and energy and get on the front foot. That’s when we’re at our best.
Wednesday suffering a striker shortage
With Lee Gregory sent off last week in their 3-3 draw with Portsmouth, Wednesday manager Darren Moore confirmed striker Michael Smith is also confirmed to miss the game at Stadium MK this afternoon.
Injury news from the MK Dons camp
We know Mo Eisa, Daniel Harvie and Tennai Watson, who recently had surgery on his hamstring, are out for a while, but MK Dons were dealt more bad news this week with Josh McEachran’s injury picked up against Cambridge is worse than feared and he will be out for a while.
