Sport: The Norwegians secured advancement with the numbers 30-28, 21-17 over Steven van de Velde and Matthew Immers.

The winners of the match between the Brazilian duo Arthur and Evandro and the Swedes David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig await in the semi-finals.

Mol and Sørum got off to a terrible start in the first set when they fell behind 1-9 against the Dutch duo. The Norwegians, however, hit back hard and fought back to level at 19-19.

It was the start of an extremely smooth and long end to the set. In the end, Mol and Sørum showed off their routine and secured the set 30-28.

The second set started much better for the Norwegian beach volleyball stars, who quickly built up a three-point lead.

They pretty much kept that lead all the way to the end, where they won the set 21-17.

On Friday, Mol and Sørum progressed directly to the quarter-finals on a walkover after the French duo Arnaud Gauthier-Rat and Youssef Krou withdrew due to knee problems with the latter.

Mol has undergone an operation on his foot, and the reigning Olympic champions must work hard to get fit for the Games in Paris.
