Economy and business: Brenna announced in April a tougher work line to get more young people into work and fewer people on social security.

– Now everyone who can must work. The time of misunderstood kindness is over, said Brenna.

But now the opposition complains that they have not seen any concrete proposals, writes Aftenposten.

– Nav should be a trampoline that people jump off of. Instead, Nav has become a fly paper where many people are stuck and cannot move forward, says Frp leader Sylvi Listhaug to the newspaper.

The FRP leader believes that Norway cannot continue with the spending explosion without it affecting the welfare model.

– There is no reason to believe that people in Norway are far more ill than in our neighboring countries. There must be something wrong with our system, she says.

She points out that people can lose income if they start working after living on public transfers, because they can lose free nursery places and housing allowance.

– The rule must be that people should come to work and not live on public transfers for the rest of their lives, she says.

Brenna replies that 150,000 more are in work under the Støre government.

– But too many people, especially young people and immigrants, are still outside the workforce. We must not think that being kind does not mean making demands. We have built this country by making demands and standing up for each other, says Brenna.
