LOS ANGELES – The Nebraska Cornhuskers will look to return to the win column as they travel to face the USC Trojans today– Saturday, Nov. 16 – at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. This game is available on multiple streaming services for free.

The Cornhuskers (5-4, 2-4 Big Ten) are coming off a much-needed bye week after watching their 5-1 dream season spiral back into the bowels of mediocrity.
Lugging a three-game losing streak and seeking a fresh start, Nebraska tabbed Dana Holgorsen as the new offensive playcaller. Holgorsen has provided the blueprint for potent offenses at West Virginia and Texas Tech.
During the three-game skid, Nebraska has averaged just 14.7 points per game.
Sophomore running back Dante Dowdell has impressed with 112 carries for 471 yards and eight touchdowns. He has five touchdowns in his last five games.
Freshman Dylan Raiola has stalled out since his opening collegiate starts. He has tallied 1,921 yards and 10 touchdowns with nine interceptions. Raiola is completing 64% of his passes. He has thrown at least one interception in six of his last seven games, including a three-pick nightmare against Indiana.
Senior receiver Isaiah Neyor provides Raiola his best chance to move the ball through the air, tallying 25 receptions for 408 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 16.3 yards per reception.
Freshman receiver Jacory Barney Jr. has turned some heads with 38 receptions for 308 yards.
Nebraska’s defense has held up their end, ranking 21st in the nation in scoring defense. The Cornhuskers are also 13th in run defense and 15th in overall defense.
The only time the Cornhuskers allowed a rushing touchdown was the blowout loss to Indiana. Their marquee performance was against Colorado. But they held the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes without a rushing score in a loss as well.
Junior defensive back Malcolm Hartzog Jr. is a lurking menace with 20 solo tackles four interceptions and three pass deflections. Senior linebacker John Bullock Jr. touts 23 solo tackles with three sacks, one forced fumble and one interception.
Senior defensive back DeShon Singleton has tallied 35 solo tackles.
Sitting at five wins, a salvageable bowl is within reach. A startling statistic has plagued head coach Matt Rhule as Nebraska is 0-7 all-time with bowl eligibility on the line.

The Trojans inaugural Big Ten tour hasn’t gone according to plan. USC is 4-5 with a 2-5 conference record. They are coming off a 26-21 loss to old PAC 12 foe Washington.
The aura of the coliseum could help the Trojans get back on track. They are averaging 39.5 points per game at home compared to 22.5 points on the road.
The Trojans ground game will be tested by one of the toughest defenses they face all season. Senior running back Woody Marks has tallied 155 carries for 878 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Trojans have an array of talented sophomore receivers. Speedster Zachariah Branch has notched 35 receptions for 404 yards, averaging 11.5 yards per reception.
Ja’Kobi Lane has hauled in 32 receptions for 368 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 11.5 yards per reception. Makai Lemon has recorded 33 receptions for 448 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 13.6 yards per reception.
USC benched starting quarterback Miller Moss after mediocre play. The junior threw for 2,555 yards and 18 touchdowns with nine interceptions. In his recent game, he threw two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Sophomore UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava has tallied 66 passing yards in three games this season. He gets the start this week, adding an extra dimension to the offense. During his one year at UNLV, Maiava threw for 3,085 yards and 17 touchdowns with 10 interceptions, including 277 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.
Senior linebacker Easton Mascarenas-Arnold anchors the defense with 41 solo tackles, two sacks and two interceptions. Senior linebacker Eric Gentry tabs 22 solo tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble.
Sophomore safety Kamari Ramsey has 27 solo tackles with two forced fumbles and five pass deflections.
USC has not lost against Nebraska, claiming the all-time series, 4-0-1. The two teams last met in the Holiday Bowl in 2014 where the Trojans prevailed in a shootout, 45-42.
