TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Krispy Kreme is set to debut the “Merry Ginchmas Doughnut Collection” for the holiday season.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 29, three new holiday doughnuts will join the lineup at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide. Each treat is based on a character from Dr. Suess’ classic tale “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”
The Grinch Doughnut is filled with cookies and cream and topped with green icing and a chocolate grin. Meanwhile, the Grinchy Claus Doughnut comes with chocolate icing, white buttercream, and a Grinch-shaped candy accent. The Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut is decorated with strawberry-flavored icing, a green buttercream tree, sprinkles, and a candy star.
“Our Merry Grinchmas doughnuts are guaranteed to make even the Grinchiest Grinch smile,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer.
Two fan favorites are also returning to the holiday menu. The Santa Belly Doughnut is filled with white cream, dipped in red icing and decorated with a chocolate belt. Then, there’s the Holiday Sprinkle, an original glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with sprinkles.
On Dec. 12 Krispy Kreme is also set to bring back their annual 12/12 “Day of the Dozens,” which will offer customers $1 Original Glazed dozen when they purchase any dozen at a regular price.
