No one arrested after violent incident in Oslo

Crime and justice: The injured person was taken to Ullevål hospital by ambulance. The police state that the person concerned has been stabbed several times in the body with a pointed object, possibly a knife. No stabbing weapon that can be linked to the case has yet been found.

The police are unsure where the crime scene is, and continued to search for it until just after 7pm on Monday, when the police considered themselves finished at the scene. Among other things, they searched the area with a dog.

– We have reason to believe that the incident happened close to where the injured person was found. We are in contact with someone who may have relevant information, but it is too early to say whether it may be relevant to the case. We also have no concrete suspects as of now, says crime watch leader Håkon Johannessen to NTB at 9pm on Monday.

Before the man was taken to hospital, the police managed to talk to him briefly, but no formal questioning was carried out, write NRK.

They were notified of the case at 4.09pm on Monday. The police believe the violent episode may have happened along Akerselva where they searched both up and down from Nybrua, writes Oslo newspaper.

– We are working to locate where it happened, but do not think it happened here, said team leader Steinar Bjerke to the press outside the old emergency room in Storgata.
