Sport: This allowed coach Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm to celebrate with his players after a very well-run tournament at home in Skien.

Morten Varnes scored the winning goal after 3.11 of the five minutes in extra time, when the tournament’s two best teams settled among themselves for the tournament victory.

Both Norway and Germany were ready for promotion before the last game. Both won all their matches against the other four teams, and in a superior manner. Norway was 53-0 in goal score, but was only second in the table as the Germans had 57-2.

Germany broke the Norwegian zero already after 3.46 minutes, when Jörg Wedde scored. Audun Bakke equalized in a Norwegian overtime game, and in the middle period Alexander Lyngroth put in 2-1.

The Germans responded and returned to a 3-2 lead with goals from Frank Rennhack and Bernhard Hering. Before the final period, Norway was behind, but captain Ola Øiseth equalized and forced extra time. There he laid the pass for the winning goal.
