BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, DEC 2 – In conjunction with the celebration of the 54th anniversary of the name change of Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan in 2024, the Bandar Seri Begawan City Department (JBBSB) held a Nostalgia Night event recently around the city center , the capital of the country.
The Nostalgia Night event aims to reminisce about the past, especially remembering the old buildings around Brunei City.
Various activities were held throughout the event, among which was the screening of documentaries Commemorating the Name Change of Brunei City to Bandar Seri Begawan and watch local film screenings.
To enliven the event, a number of side activities were also held including an exhibition of decorated bicycles and rickshaws, as well as sales activities such as food and drink stalls in several locations in the city center, particularly in Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, part of Jalan Pretty, part of Jalan Elizabeth 2 and in the Hajj Park area of Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.
