From “Octomom” to grandma!
Nadya Suleman announced via Instagram Monday that her first grandchild has arrived.
“Thank you my son and my lovely daughter in law for giving us this beautiful gift!” the 49-year-old captioned a photo of an infant’s foot in a pink blanket.
“We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family!” she continued. “Baby girl you are so very loved and we can’t wait to watch you grow!!”
While Suleman revealed the newborn’s August 30 due date, she did not divulge further details about the little one’s name.
She also did not share which of her sons is the father.
Suleman has 14 kids of her own, infamously welcoming her youngest eight all at once in a January 2009 C-section.
The now-15-year-old octuplets are named Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Makai, Jonah, Josiah and Jeremiah.
Suleman is also the mother of Elijah, Amerah, Joshua, Adyn, Calyssa and Caleb.
She has given rare updates on her big brood’s lives on social media over the years.
In August 2022, Suleman posted back-to-school snaps of her “kind, respectful, and helpful” children heading into the eighth grade.
“You are all growing into some of the most kind, humble, grateful and loving human beings I have ever known,” Suleman gushed at the time. “Each of you possess rare and unique characteristics, and are unlike any other child of your age, particularly in our society today.”
The following year, she shared ripped gym selfies and gave insight into how she remains “physically strong and healthy (and mentally sane)” while raising 14 kids.
“I strive to strength train 3-4 days per week, plus one hour of cardio 4-5 days per week,” she wrote via Instagram in June 2023, also sharing her love of lifting weights.
Suleman, who suffered from three herniated discs, bilateral sciatica, a damaged sacrum, peripheral neuropathy and a torn abdominal cavity after giving birth, noted, “The more active I am, the less pain I experience.”
