Suspicious
On Nov. 17 a Samurai Dynasty employee reported the doors at her job were open. Upon entering her job, she noticed items were gone through. Officers responded and were met by the owner and employee. The owner reported there were several items stolen from the business. Officers are Investigating.
Hit-skip, Juneway Drive
On Nov. 19 a contractor working at a house reported a hit-skip accident. The contractor said he parked a vehicle and when he came out, there was damage to the rear driver’s side. Officers noticed white paint was transferred to the damaged area. Officers documented the incident and will follow up if further information is discovered.
Weapons, Clague Road
On Nov. 22 officers responded to a report of a car stopped in the roadway with the driver slumped at the wheel. Officers found the car and boxed in the car due to it still being in gear. When officers made contact with the driver, they noticed he had a gun sitting on his lap.
Mutual aid was requested and officers began to give commands to the driver. The driver didn’t respond. The officers deployed pepper ball rounds into the car. This caused the driver to exit the car where he was arrested.
After medical treatment he was brought back to Bay Village Police Department jail to be booked. The man was then transported and turned over to Cuyahoga County Jail. The 34-year-old Garfield Heights resident was charged with having weapons under disability, possession of drugs, using weapons while intoxicated, OVI, driving while under suspension, and seat belt violation. He will face charges through Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
