WESTLAKE, Ohio –

Felony drug possession: I-90

An officer stopped a car at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 on I-90 eastbound near Cahoon Road for an equipment violation and noticed signs of drug use.

The 34-year-old driver admitted he possessed syringes, and officers found about 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe, according to a police department press release.

Officers arrested the driver and charged him with felony possession of drugs.

Public indecency: Caroline Circle

A female pizza delivery driver called the police department at 10 p.m. on Nov. 16 to report that a man answering a door during a delivery allowed his clothing to reveal his genitals.

Officers interviewed a man at the Caroline Circle residence who matched the description provided. He denied exposing himself. However, officers arrested the suspect and charged him with misdemeanor public indecency. He was released on his own recognizance.

OVI: Center Ridge Road

At 11 p.m. on Nov. 18, officers responded to the Time Warp Bar, where employees said a woman had been causing a disturbance.

The employees told her to leave, and they tried to call an Uber for her. However, the woman refused, went to her car, tried to drive away, and nearly struck other vehicles in the parking lot, according to a police press statement.

Bar employees were trying to stop her from leaving when the officers arrived. The suspect told officers that she, too, was trying to call the police. Officers noted that she couldn’t because her cell phone was dead.

The driver, a 57-year-old North Ridgeville resident, was field-tested and arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She refused a breath test.

Disorderly conduct: Crocker Road

A Shell gas station clerk flagged down officers at 1 a.m. on Nov. 20 to report that a man inside the station was making a mess of the coffee counter and appeared to be “high” on something, according to a police press release.

Officers saw the man swaying badly, which caused him to spill coffee on the floor. He appeared highly intoxicated and was placed into custody. The 51-year-old man, formerly from a Westlake residence but currently staying at the DoubleTree Hotel, admitted to recently smoking spice. Officers took the suspect to jail and charged him with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
