Weather: Next weekend’s round in the principality, where the Formula 1 drivers will naturally also be in place, is highly anticipated and a major highlight in the motorsport community.

If the weather gods deliver as they did during Thursday’s training, it could be challenging to be Hauger in Monte Carlo. Rainy weather and soaking wet streets created problems with both grip and visibility.

Hauger eventually ended up with the second best practice time of the Formula 2 drivers, but no one set any really good lap times. Victor Martins was the fastest of all.

Several drivers also got into trouble and ended up outside the track. Hauger’s teammate in MP Motorsport, Franco Colapinto, was among them.

– I think we should be happy that qualification will not be run here now. It could have been long with a good number of episodes, said Viaplay expert Stein Pettersen.

Qualifying will be run in Monaco on Friday.

Hauger is fourth overall in the Formula 2 championship ahead of this weekend’s race in Monaco. The Norwegian would have liked to have had a solid weekend after not having succeeded particularly well at the Imola circuit last weekend.

Martinius Stenshorne and the Formula 3 drivers also tested the car in Monaco on Thursday. For them, the conditions were equally difficult.
