Do neighborhood blocks, extra bike lanes and bollards hinder the police and fire service? The Interior Committee of the House of Representatives looked into this issue again on Monday. Per Kleist, deputy head of the Berlin Fire Service, complained that there are no uniform rules for the districts to involve the fire service in such projects. The fire service is asked for its opinion, only informed or not involved at all.
