Police respond to church break-in: Lakewood Police Blotter

LAKEWOOD, Ohio –

Breaking and entering: Madison Avenue

Police officers at 8:52 a.m. on July 15 responded to the Saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church on Madison Avenue at Lakewood Avenue regarding a break-in. Nothing of value was taken, according to a police incident report.

Attempted vehicle theft: Clifton Boulevard

A man called the police department at 12:44 p.m. on July 20 to report an attempted theft of a motor vehicle. The incident occurred on Clifton between Marlow and Belle avenues.

Criminal mischief: Detroit Avenue

A resident of Westerly Apartments called police at 2:19 p.m. on July 20 to report noticing debris stuffed into the exhaust pipe of a car belonging to an employee that was in the parking lot.

Criminal damaging: Northland Avenue

Officers at 4:52 a.m. on July 19 responded to a Northland Avenue residence regarding a broken window.

Disorderly conduct: Grace Avenue

Police officers at 4:46 a.m. on July 18 arrested a man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated after they responded to a resident’s call about a man kicking at a car window in front of her house.

OVI: Lake Avenue

A woman called the police department at 8:47 p.m. on July 18 to report a driver who appeared to be highly intoxicated. Officers at 9:17 p.m. arrested a male suspect on Edgewater Drive for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Disorderly conduct: Lake Avenue

Officers at 2:22 p.m. on July 17 responded to the Days Inn regarding a man sitting in the lobby who appeared to be intoxicated. Officers arrested the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Attempted vehicle theft: Clifton Boulevard

A man called the Lakewood Police Department at 11:29 p.m. on July 16 to report that someone broke into his vehicle. The back window was broken, according to a police incident report.

Disorderly conduct: Madison Avenue

Officers at 11:34 p.m. on July 16 responded to Madison Avenue between Elbur Avenue and Wyandotte Avenue regarding two men fighting. Police arrested one man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated, according to a police incident report.

Criminal damaging: Cove Avenue

Officers at 8:17 a.m. on July 15 responded to an apartment building parking lot regarding a rear passenger’s-side window being broken out on a car.
