BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 25 – Poni Group has launched their new range of services for the marine and maritime industry as part of the 15th anniversary celebration, in conjunction with the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Week (BDMW) which took place at Bridex, Jerudong, recently.
The launch is to highlight the group’s continued expansion into key service areas through its new division and innovation hub, ASTARI.
As part of BDMW, the group has also hosted a series of leading international presentations from Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore and China. Through the presentation, various views on the latest advances in maritime technology were shared.
Presentation topics included decarbonisation technology for ships, advanced digital systems and remote monitoring software for navigational aids and marine beacons, artificial intelligence (AI) powered carbon emissions reporting, offsetting and monitoring, as well as cutting edge innovations in emergency response such as mooring line light drones.
Poni Group’s involvement in the inaugural event is in line with the goals of the Brunei Darussalam Maritime and Port Authority (MPABD), which aims to advance Brunei’s maritime while promoting sustainability, digitization and regional cooperation.
