
According to the Lisbon City Council, in a statement, the city of Lisbon will be conditioned for the possible celebration of the title of SL Benfica:
CAMPO GRANDE: the Entrecampos Tunnel, in the Campo Grande – Saldanha direction, will be closed to traffic circulation;
AVENIDA DA REPÚBLICA:
– traffic will be prevented from accessing Avenida da República, from the Rotunda de Entrecampos;
– Campo Pequeno Tunnel, towards Campo Grande – Saldanha will be closed to traffic circulation;
– The central lanes and side lanes of Avenida da República will be closed to traffic;
– Also all the confluent arteries will suffer constraints to road circulation;
AVENIDA DUQUE D’ÁVILA: the direction of traffic on Avenida Duque D’Ávila, between Avenida da República and Avenida 5 de Outubro, will have to be changed to allow vehicles to exit the privately owned parking area on Avenida da República ;
DUQUE DE SALDANHA SQUARE:
– traffic will be prevented from circulating on the central roads;
– traffic will be prevented from going around Praça do Duque de Saldanha, however vehicles coming from Avenida Casal Ribeiro will be channeled to Avenida da República, in the direction of Saldanha – Campo Grande;
– Traffic will be prevented from accessing Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo;
AVENIDA FONTES PEREIRA DE MELO: traffic on Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo will be prohibited and crossings will be prevented. Also all confluent arteries will suffer constraints to road circulation;
AVENIDA DUQUE DE LOULÉ: traffic will be prohibited on Avenida Duque de Loulé, between the intersection with Rua Luciano Cordeiro and Praça do Marquês de Pombal. All the confluent arteries will also suffer constraints;
AVENIDA ANTÓNIO AUGUSTO DE AGUIAR: Traffic will be prohibited on Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar, between Rua Marquês da Fronteira and Avenida Duque de Loulé. The confluent arteries will also suffer constraints;
AVENIDA SIDÓNIO PAIS: Traffic circulation on Avenida Sidónio Pais will be prohibited and the confluent arteries will suffer constraints;
ALAMEDA EDGAR CARDOSO: Traffic circulation on Alameda Edgar Cardoso will be prohibited and the confluent arteries will suffer constraints;
RUA MARQUÊS DE SUBSERRA (TUNNEL): Traffic will be prohibited in the Tunnel on Rua Marquês de Subserra;
RUA ALEXANDRE HERCULANO: Traffic circulation on Rua Alexandre Herculano will be prohibited and the confluent arteries will suffer constraints;
RUA BRAAMCAMP: Traffic circulation on Rua Braamcamp will be prohibited and the confluent arteries will suffer constraints;
RUA JOAQUIM ANTÓNIO DE AGUIAR: Traffic will be prohibited on Rua Joaquim António de Aguiar, between Rua da Artilharia 1 and Praça do Marquês de Pombal. The confluent arteries will suffer constraints;
MARQUÊS DE POMBAL TUNNEL: Traffic will be prohibited in the Marquês de Pombal Tunnel, in both directions;
MARQUÊS DE POMBAL SQUARE – Traffic circulation in Marquês de Pombal Square, in both directions, will be prohibited;
AVENIDA DA LIBERDADE – Traffic circulation on Avenida da Liberdade will be prohibited, only crossings between Rua das Pretas and Praça da Alegria and between Largo da Anunciada and Travessa da Glória will be possible. Also all the confluent arteries will suffer constraints to road circulation;
RUA DO CONDE DE REDONDO: Traffic circulation on Rua do Conde de Redondo will be prohibited, as well as all the arteries confluent to it, will suffer constraints to road circulation.
In addition to these constraints, in an interview with TSFthe PSP spokesman explained that “at around 4.30 pm, several constraints will already be verified, namely in the axis between Entrecampos and Marquês de Pombal, in the axis between Praça de Espanha and Marquês de Pombal, Amoreiras and Marquês de Pombal and Restauradores and Marquês de Pombal. Therefore, all those arteries that will flow to Marquês de Pombal will be conditioned from 4.30 pm. That is why we ask that people favor public transport. But also informing that from 4.30 pm the stations metro Marquês, Parque and Picoas will be closed. In other words, people will have to get off at the previous stops”, explains Artur Serafim, spokesman for the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP.
Benfica will host CD Santa Clara at 6 pm and a victory will guarantee the title, while a draw could also come.
