BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 22 – The Al-Quran Khatam Ceremony in conjunction with the 78th Puja Day Celebration of His Majesty the King’s Wife Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha organized by the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association (PPPBD) was held today at the headquarters the association in Kampung Anggerek Desa, Berakas.
The event, which is an annual activity of the association, among other things, specifically aims to celebrate the anniversary of the Puja Day of His Majesty the King’s Wife, in addition to fostering the culture of reading, understanding and deepening the Al-Quran among the members of the association as well as educating members from a spiritual aspect.
This year, three groups of readers consisting of members of the administrative committee, adult leaders, young leaders, Pandu Puteri Ranjer and Pandu Puteri have completed the reading to complete the reading of all 30 Juz Al-Quran for their respective groups. .
Also participating in this Khatam Al-Quran Council are members of the association involved in the Lovers of Allah’s Word Project who have completed the reading of all 30 Juz of the Al-Quran each.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Tafrijiyyah Greetings, Prayers before reading the Al-Quran and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Spiritual Commissioner of PPPBD, Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani.
The event was then followed by the recitation of the takhtim by the participants of Al-Quran khatam led by the participants of young leaders.
Meanwhile, the recitation of the Al-Quran Khatam Prayer was led by the PPPBD Young Leader Commissioner, Dr Mariam binti Haji Abdul Rahman.
While the recitation of Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam was led by Hajah Fatimah.
Also present, Life Vice Presidents of PPPBD, Datin Paduka Hajah Zaharah binti Haji Idris, Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali; and PPPBD Chief Commissioner, Dayang Norazrina binti Haji Sarbini.
