BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 1 NOV – Allah SWT created this universe with all the pleasures and treasures contained in it to meet human needs.
It contains biotic components such as animals, plants and microorganisms and also abiotic components such as oil, gas, various types of metals, water, soil and others.
All of that is spread by Allah SWT as a means of livelihood that can bring prosperity and prosperity.
This certainly requires people to strive and work in order to achieve and meet the needs of themselves, families, society and the country.
All of that is handed over to us as human beings to be taken advantage of with all forms of effort according to our competence, skills and abilities.
The matter was emphasized by the preacher in the Friday sermon entitled Improving the Economy in Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandrytoday.
The preacher also added that with the resources and favors bestowed by Allah SWT, they should be used and prospered in the best possible way. Apart from that, each of us needs to have the motivation to be prosperous to the earth.
Among the earth’s resources that can be prospered and cultivated are such as agriculture, fishing and animal husbandry.
Touching on the main purpose of agriculture and fishing at the beginning, the preacher explained that all of that is to meet the basic human needs of food and drink. But with the development of science and technology based on study and research, it has expanded to the field of animal husbandry.
In addition, various innovations have been created in the fields of agriculture and fisheries. This has increased efficiency, saved time and cost and has been able to increase production yield and at the same time it is environmentally friendly and harmless.
According to him, agriculture and fishing is a business field that provides great opportunities for Muslims, especially in the production of halal food and food products that open up job opportunities and profits for investors and entrepreneurs.
Various program strategies that have been, are being and will be implemented by relevant parties in increasing contributions towards the agriculture and fisheries sector for national development.
Therefore, in order to support and make any program and project a success, we must wisely take the opportunity and use the facilities provided by the government in advancing the agriculture and fisheries sector.
This is in line with the country’s desire to achieve the Brunei Vision 2035 which is to diversify the country’s economy so that it is not only dependent on oil and gas and also the country’s desire to further improve the quality of life by maintaining healthy and clean environmental resources.
Khatib also emphasized that Islam has placed the field of agriculture and fishing as fardu kifayah because both fields have a large and important role in human life. By implementing the fardu kifayah demands, it has also been able to make a great contribution to the country, especially to economic improvement.
Therefore, the farmers, farmers, fishermen and breeders as the prosperous of the earth should be proud of the work they do, moreover it is also a form of worship that also contributes to the development of the country.
“So in the direction of diversifying the country’s economic resources, let us all respond to the call of the king we love, especially to the youth in this country, to join forces and strive to further develop agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry for the survival of the nation and our beloved country.
“The contribution of all people towards the prosperity and well-being of the country is part of the demands of Islam,” said the preacher.
