Culture and entertainment: 12,600 Norwegians sat indoors despite the fine weather at the weekend to watch the remake “Pusur-filmen”, 20 years after the original film premiered. Since the premiere on Wednesday last week, it has thus been seen by 27,402 cinemagoers, according to The cinema top.

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” also premiered this Wednesday, but is lagging behind in the battle for cinema audiences: 11,060 went and saw it last weekend, and thus the viewership is up to 21,087.

The new movie in the “Planet of the Apes” universe is topping the attendance statistics in the United States, where it took in $56.5 million in its opening weekend – which is the third best admission so far this year, beaten only by “Dune 2” and “Kung Fu Panda 4”. Worldwide, the monkey film grossed 129 million dollars – something like The Hollywood Reporter notes are well above expectations.

In the USA, “Garfield”, which is the original title of the “Pusur film”, has not yet premiered.
