Quiet with a cool breeze across the Sunflower State

The system that gave us recent rainfall with totals around 1″ to 3″ has moved out. There is not much activity upstream that is headed in our direction.

Quiet with a cool breeze across the Sunflower State

There will still be some wind behind the system with speeds reaching 20 to 25 mph today. Winds have also switched out of the northwest which will bring in cooler air.

Temperatures are not too chilly this morning. We will only reach the 40s and 50s during the warmest part of the afternoon.

There will be another chance for rain today but nothing like what we have seen over the last 36 hours. There will be a few clouds that track west to east during the afternoon and into the evening. They could squeeze out a passing sprinkle or shower but most of us will stay dry.

Skies clear back out tonight. Overnight lows will be colder in the teens to the 30s. Be sure to bundle up for a freezing start to Wednesday.

Afternoon highs will be in the 50s through the rest of the week. With the exception of a continued breeze Wednesday, conditions will be quiet too.

Looking ahead to the weekend, skies stay dry with milder highs. There will be another dip in temperatures next week and any moisture associated with the temperature change will be minimal.
