
The show “Raíces de América: Drummond, Neruda, Cortázar, Meireles y Galeano”, with the group Raíces de América, takes place this Sunday (31), at 6 pm, with free admission, at the Centro Cultural São Paulo.
Conceived by one of its founders, conductor Willy Verdaguer, the show “Raíces de América: Drummond, Neruda, Cortázar, Meireles y Galeano”, marks the debut of vocalist Nicole Bueno, who, along with Fabian Famin, assumes the vocals in place of to the singer Miriam Mirah, who died in March of this year.
The current lineup of Raíces de América includes Willy Verdaguer (musical direction, bass and vocals), Fabian Famin (first male voice), Nicole Bueno (first female voice), Jara Arrais (guitar, charango and vocals), Chico Pedro (quena , zampoña, tarkas, ocarinas, transverse flute and vocals), André Perine (guitar and vocals), Jica Thomé (percussion and vocals) and Abner Paul (drums and vocals).
In the repertoire of this Sunday’s show, Latin music classics such as “Volver a Los 17”, “Los Hermanos”, “Solo le Pido a Dios”, “Todo Cambia” and the group’s hits such as “Fruto do Suor”, in the midst of by actress Elizete Gomes, with poems and texts by the authors honored in the project.
