Economy and business: The homes were sold on average around three per cent above the asking price in April, which is slightly above the average for the same month in 2023, the figures from DNB show.

– There has been very good momentum in the market after Easter, and in April we expect a price increase of 1.2 per cent nominally, says managing director Renate Sørestrand-Hansen of DNB Eiendom in a press release.

– We haven’t actually seen such good numbers in April, but that is also somewhat related to early Easter, she emphasizes.

April is normally a good sales month, explains Sørestrand-Hansen.

– It takes an average of just over two weeks to sell in Oslo, and in practice this means that the majority of homes are now sold after the first round of viewings, she says.

On a national basis, the average sales time is around one month.
