Rock Hall and area museums offer deals for ‘Museum Store Sunday’

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Sunday, December 1, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and thousands of other museums around the country will collectively celebrate Museum Store Sunday.

More than 2,150 museum stores across the United States, 25 countries and five continents will participate in the global awareness campaign that was organized by the Museum Store Association in 2017.

Museum Store Sunday’s slogan is “Shop with Purpose,” and is meant to convey its stated mission of promoting “economic sustainability and cultural engagement for museums and the communities they support.”

At the Rock Hall, that means supporting local businesses such as CLE Clothing Co., which creates unique clothing and accessories.

On Sunday, Rock Hall museum goers can revel in a 20% discount on all purchases at the museum store. Taylor Tomlinson, the comedian and host of the late night show “After Midnight,” has professed her love of museum stores. Shestopped by the Rock Hall’s museum store during her “Save Me” tour stop in Cleveland.

If the Rock Hall isn’t your one-stop museum store shop, there are other museums in the area officially participating and you can check out the full list at museumstoresunday.org.
