Sport: The match was originally supposed to be played in September, but was brought forward to facilitate Vålerenga’s participation in the championship qualification. With Tuesday’s victory, Vålerenga and Rosenborg are at the top with twelve points, but VIF has a better goal difference. Røa then follows with nine.

Vålerenga’s home win on Tuesday came after scores by Olaug Tvedten, Ylinn Tennebø and Sævik, who scored his fourth goal of the season. For the guests, striker talent Omarsdottir was responsible for both netizens. The 20-year-old, like Sævik, has scored four times this season.

Stabæk has six points after two wins and three losses so far. Vålerenga have a bid against Lyn this weekend, while Stabæk will be visited by Brann.

The first three goals were scored before 23 minutes had been played in Oslo. First Tvedten sent the hosts into the lead alone with Stabæk goalkeeper Sunniva Skoglund, but only three minutes later Omarsdottir equalized. The shot went through VIF goalkeeper Tove Enblom and into the net.

Six minutes later, Sævik went to the ground after a duel, but the striker got up quickly and was on the spot when the pass from Tvedten arrived. The ball then knocked Sævik into the roof of the net. In the second half, the hosts increased their lead when Tennebø sent off a well-placed shot on a pass from Sævik.

With five minutes remaining, Omarsdottir reduced the score with the game’s last goal.
