Sport: The Bayern Munich player was confirmed as one of Julian Nagelsmann’s chosen by his portrait ending up on the wall in art museum Schirn in Frankfurt.

In the warm-up games, Sané has to serve the quarantine after being sent off last autumn, and he has struggled with an injury, but the national team manager wants him in the home European Championships.

Nagelsmann announces the entire squad on Thursday, but in the days before, name after name has been released in an unusual and inventive way, in order to create excitement and prevent leaks.

On Tuesday morning, Chris Führich was announced as a member of the EC squad by his picture being on bread bags at a bakery in Nagold.

Maximilian Mittelstädt also received the go-ahead on Tuesday. His name was announced by singer Peter Schilling on Instagram. One of Schilling’s songs was played over the public address system when Mittelstädt scored against the Netherlands in March.

Previous withdrawals have been released, among other things, by influencers and in social media. Arsenal striker Kai Havertz had his withdrawal confirmed on Monday by the YouTube channel Calcio Berlin.

These have already received EC-yes, goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer.

Backs: Nico Schlotterbeck, Jonathan Tah, Robin Koch, Maximilian Mittelstädt.

Midfielders: Chris Führich, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Leroy Sané.

Forwards: Niclas Füllkrug, Kai Havertz.
