CLEARWATER, Kan. (KSNW) – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman in Clearwater.
On Thursday at 10:21 a.m., the Clearwater Police Department and Sedgwick County EMS responded to the report of a death at a residence in the 300 block of S. Tracy in Clearwater.
They found the body of 45-year-old Melina Hinkle of Clearwater in the home. Police also found an acquaintance of Hinkle’s who placed the 911 call.
The Clearwater Police Department requested that the SCSO Investigations Division take control of the case.
The Sedgwick County Coroner’s Office is working to determine Hinkle’s cause of death, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
