SHAH ALAM, NOV 22 – The state government has not yet received any response from the police regarding the development of the investigation into the case involving Selangor FC player Muhammad Faisal Halim, the Selangor State Legislative Assembly was told today.
State Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Exco, Mohd Najwan Halimi, said so far his party is still waiting for the information to be revealed following the urgent motion condemning extreme acts and violence against sports athletes passed unanimously at the last conference.
“Until today we still do not know the status of his (Faisal Halim) case, and the last time we were informed by Mr. Speaker of the State Assembly (Lau Weng San) he had written a letter to the police informing them about the motion that had been agreed upon by consensus in the last session, ” he said.
He answered an additional question from Mohd Shafie Ngah (PN-Sungai Ramal) who wanted to know the development of the case involving the main pillar of the Red Giants.
At the last conference, an urgent motion condemning extreme acts and violence against athletes was approved by consensus by Selangor State Assembly Members who, among other things, insisted that a comprehensive investigation be carried out into the case and the findings of the case be disclosed to the public.
Last May 5, the 26-year-old Asian Cup 2023 Best Goal Scorer was the victim of an acid attack at a shopping center in Kota Damansara, Selangor, causing him to suffer level four burns on several parts of his body. – Named
