Several arrested after the discovery of a possible murder weapon

Crime and justice: The arrests have taken place over several days in the last two or three weeks, and those arrested are charged with illegal possession of firearms, the police in the interior state.

– The weapon was found outdoors by a random woman passing by around a week after the murder. The police were immediately notified and rushed to the scene to seize the weapon, which was lying on the side of the road several kilometers from the crime scene, says police attorney Christine Lundstein.

The police state that the weapon was registered to a person who is now dead.

The police have investigated who has been in possession of the weapon at various times, and it is in this connection that the persons have been arrested and remanded in custody.

Two people who have been imprisoned in the case have now been released.

On 14 March, 44-year-old Bård André Spildrejordet was found shot and killed in a cabin in Nord-Odal in Innlandet.
