BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 19 – The Shah United FC team managed to end the clean record of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) team with a 6-4 victory in the 2024/25 Brunei Elite Futsal League (BEFL) Championship which took place at the University Multipurpose Hall. Brunei Darussalam (UBD), yesterday.
Shah United FC who tied two imported players from Thailand became the main pulse in strengthening the squad managed by Pengiran Asrul Asdynee Pengiran Shadon who created a sweet victory over MS ABDB.
The nimble player, Abdul Khabiir bin Haji Ismail managed to break through MS ABDB’s thick defense in the 7th minute, followed by a follow-up goal by Ridwan Awabuese a few seconds later to make MS ABDB stunned with a 0-2 deficit.
Shah United FC’s game is getting more and more organized attacking through set pieces interesting that managed to add a goal in the 11th minute through Abdul Hadi Azhar bin Haji Abdul Lamit who took advantage of the opportunity in front of the goal to add to the goal.
MS ABDB tried to find a rhythm but still failed to contain Shah United FC’s attack, when Abdul Khabiir again found the touch of the net to make it 4-0 in the 23rd minute.
However, MS ABDB started to rise after a spirited goal from Abdul Malik Yunus in the 28th minute. Two quick goals followed within a minute, through Awangku Mohd Jumatual Aleshahmezan and Mohammad Izzan Zamain who managed to close the gap.
Not long after, Mohamad Asyrol Rafiuddin Asmadi leveled the score at 4-4 in the 38th minute to make the meeting continue to be intense and thrilling.
However, Shah United FC returned to shine at the end of the match with two goals scored by Faisal Muso and Muhammad Fithratul Rahman Ratno to end the match with a final score of 6-4.
