Paul Robinson was full of praise for Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams after USA drew 0-0 against England in the World Cup group B game on Friday (25 November).
The USA midfielder dominated the midfield and earned rave reviews from fans and pundits all over the world.
Robinson, who is a pundit for Sky Sports, has hailed Adams as the “best player on the pitch”.
“Clean sheet the only positive for England there. Tyler Adams best player on the pitch for me. Put a serious shift in. Leeds have a quality player on their hands,” wrote Robinson on Twitter.
England had two quality midfielders in the middle in the form of Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, and yet it was Adams who stole the show.
The energetic midfielder made as many as 46 passes during the game with 87% accuracy, as per Who scored. He also managed one tackle, one interception, and two clearances.
It was a dull game overall and both sides failed to create enough clear-cut chances. In the end, a draw is a fair reflection of the game.
Adams joined the Whites in the summer transfer window from RB Leipzig, and he has started in 13 Premier League games for the club, forging a strong partnership in midfield alongside Marc Roca.
England have now picked up four points from their two games, and they need a win or a draw against Wales to qualify for the next round.
For the USA, they face a do-or-die clash against Iran in their final game. Iran are one point above them after they picked up a 2-0 win against Wales on Friday.
