WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police say a speeding car refused to pull over for an officer and crashed into three others. It happened Tuesday morning around 10 a.m.
Police say the driver was being pursued for speeding and fled westbound on Kellogg Drive from Webb Road. When the driver ran a red light at Rock Road, police say the motor officer turned off his emergency lights.
At Towne East Mall Drive, the fleeing vehicle rear-ended another car and collided with two additional cars. The occupants of all vehicles sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
The suspect fled on foot, but some motorists who witnessed the crash helped detain the suspect until police arrived.
