Sport: Italian Jannik Sinner is the top form player on the ATP tour with several strong victories. He managed to break the Dane first to a 3-2 lead in the first set and took the first set 6-4.

In the second set it was more even and where the players managed to hold their serve. The set went to a tie break where Sinner managed to get two match points. They saved the Dane and secured a set point for himself, which he took care of and won the tiebreak 8-6.

In the decisive third set, it was Sinner who kept his cool and managed to break Rune’s serve. He took home the set 6-4 and the match 2-1.

Holger Rune went off the pitch during a pipe concert. The Dane was several times in heated discussion with the referee about decisions.

With the loss, Rune will drop to 12th place in the next ATP ranking as he loses 400 points after being in the losing finalist last year.

In the first quarter-final, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Russian Karen Khatsjanov 6-4, 6-2. Sinner meets Tsitsipas in Saturday’s semi-final.
