The return to the warmer side is underway. Highs will rebound to the 50s and 60s through the weekend.
The breeze will be a touch stronger with gusts from 20-30 MPH on Saturday and again Sunday as the next cold front comes through the area.
This will be a great weekend for doing any work in the yard or putting up Christmas lights with the wind not being too fierce and the unseasonably warm temperatures.
The cold front should clear the state by Sunday night, leaving much colder air in its wake.
Highs early next week will be in the 40s. While temps this weekend are above average, this frontal push will put us below the norm for Thanksgiving week.
Model guidance is coming into consensus for a storm system Wednesday into Wednesday night. Light rain is possible over much of Kansas and with cooling temps, some snow will mix before this system exits by Thanksgiving.
Overall accumulations of rain and any snow will be light and should not be majorly impactful to travel. I would use caution on any damp roadway late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning for a slick spot or two with overnight temps falling into the 20s and lower 30s.
Temperatures behind this system will reinforce highs in the 30s and 40s into the following weekend.
