A brisk start to the week as strong northerly winds brought in cooler temperatures today. Highs on Monday are nearly 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.
Tonight we fall back into the 20s across the state. Winds begin to lighten up by morning, but be sure to bundle up if you are heading out early in the morning.
Southerly flow will take back control on Tuesday. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than we saw today, especially across western Kansas. Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout the day as our next system moves closer to the region.
Our next cold front is aimed at the Plains on Wednesday. It will try to squeeze out some moisture. Spotty showers will be possible across the region.
Temperatures will drop as cold air follows behind the passing front. Some areas could see snow showers mix as temperatures fall below freezing, but this greatly depends on how fast temperatures fall and how quickly moisture tracks east. Travel will not be impacted.
Cold air settles into the region for Thanksgiving. Temperatures will be chilly for those heading out to participate in early morning Turkey Trots. Cloud cover decreases throughout the day with temperatures reaching the low 40s by the afternoon.
Cold air will be stubborn to leave. Highs hold on to the 40s through the weekend with a quick-moving boundary pushing temperatures into the 30s on Sunday for the start of December.
