A chilly start to the morning, but we stay above freezing. Keep your jackets handy for the first half of the day, but it will start to feel a lot better by afternoon!
Highs are expected to reach the 60s across most of Kansas today. Well above average!
Winds turn a bit breezy but will not be out of control. Overall, a nice day shaping up across the entire state.
Tonight turns cool again, but lacking much of the chill of recent nights.
Tomorrow looks mild again, but winds will start to switch around to the northwest as a cold front pushes in.
The front will really kick into gear overnight into Monday, plunging temps into the 40s for Monday and keeping us colder for the coming week.
A series of weak disturbances will move through beginning Monday and lasting through next weekend. These will mostly just manage to give us some extra cloud cover, but one on Wednesday looks to be a little stronger and may be able to wring out some moisture over Kansas.
We may be cold enough for some of this to fall as mix or snow showers, but significant accumulations or travel impacts are not looking likely. A reinforcing shot of cold air comes for Thanksgiving, keeping us in the low 40s.
The cold air keeps flowing into next weekend, with below average temps expected to persist through the end of the month.
