Storms slow down air traffic over Schiphol – also to Norway

Weather: The reason for the many cancellations in is severe storms. Strong winds, lightning and hail have caused over 180 departures and arrivals to and from Schiphol to be canceled according to NL Times.

Norwegian informs VG that flights to both Oslo and Stockholm have been cancelled.

The wind has also stopped the lightning trains between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The Dutch Meteorological Institute reported wind gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour. Wind gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour are also expected on Tuesday, and the meteorologists have issued a yellow warning for the whole of the Netherlands.
