Crime and justice: – We have a relatively clear idea of ​​who we are hunting, says police spokesperson Max Åkerwall to Sveriges Radio.

The 39-year-old, who is referred to in the Swedish media only as Mikhail, was on his way to a swimming pool with his twelve-year-old son when he confronted a gang of youths inside a pedestrian underpass.

According to Swedish media, he had alerted the police early on about the gang that allegedly sold drugs in the area. Fear that his son would grow up in a crime-ridden environment was behind the man’s concern.

The police know that there were several eyewitnesses to the murder and are asking them to come forward.
