The first meeting of the HK 41st Anniversary Celebration took place

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 18 – The success of Brunei Darussalam’s 40th National Day Anniversary was proof of the patriotism and unity of the people of Brunei when the event, full of colors and excitement, brought joy to all levels of society while highlighting the spirit of the Malay Muslim Monarchy to be the backbone of the country.

The compatriot approach used clearly shows its effectiveness and that approach is believed to continue to be the mainstay, stressed the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad in his speech at the First Meeting of the Supreme Committee for the National Day Anniversary Celebration 41st Brunei Darussalam, 2025 which took place at Dewan Digadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Building, today.

The meeting was also co-chaired by the Minister of Development, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and the Minister of Education, the Honorable Datin Seri Setia Dr Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh as Co-Chairs.

Also present at the meeting were the Chairman of Customs, His Highness Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar; Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Second Minister of Defense, Honorable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as Joint Advisor; members of the National Assembly; permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries as well as members of the Supreme Committee for the 41st Anniversary of Brunei Darussalam’s National Day.

In his speech, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi stated that the success of the celebration was the result of the earnestness and unity of all parties from school students, the youth to officials in the government and private sector.

Yang Berhormat Dato also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to hold the same ceremony in 2025 and hoped that it could inject the spirit of nationhood and belonging for the people to maintain harmony, unity and maintain understanding.

“What is desired is a significant participation in the number of participants, especially students and pupils in order to be able to inject the spirit of patriotism and loyalty in the new generation.”

“It also gives them the opportunity to be a part of history so that it can be used as their memory, heritage and pride.” He further commented, “Participation from the government and non-government sectors is no exception as a sign of gratitude that we enjoy a peaceful, prosperous and harmonious life.”

Yang Berhormat Dato stated that the General Assembly Ceremony will be held in the same format as in previous years with some reform proposals.

Therefore, he added, the planning of the event is based on past experience with some improvements and adding new values ​​so that the gathering will also be a special event and always fresh in the memories of all walks of life.

The Agenda of the First Meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Celebration of the 41st Anniversary of Brunei Darussalam’s National Day, Year 2025, focuses on development reports and recommendations regarding the preparations that are being actively implemented, proposed dates and places, proposed logos and themes and dates rehearsal for the Ceremony and Main Event of the celebration.

In addition, the meeting also discussed the implementation procedures and the number of people for the General Assembly Ceremony, the Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony, the National Spirit Cycling Recreation, the 41-time Khatam Ceremony as well as other side events.
