BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 7 – The Government Mufti, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, today, received a courtesy visit from officials from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and the Department of Religion Islam Federal Territory, Malaysia.
The courtesy visit took place at Yang Berhormat Pehin’s office at Darulifta Brunei Darussalam, Government Mufti Department (JMK).
The delegation consisted of the Deputy Director General (Policy), JAKIM, Dr Mohamad Kori bin Jusoh; Chief Assistant Senior Director, Department of Islamic Religion, Federal Territory, Malaysia, Mohd Suhaimi bin Mohd Yusof and Senior Assistant Director (MABIMS Malaysia Secretariat), JAKIM, Mohd Khairulzaki bin Misbah.
Welcoming the delegation at Darulifta Brunei Darussalam was JMK’s Acting Director of Administration, Haji Saiful Nizam bin Haji Sulaiman along with several officials from JMK.
The officers are in this country as Malaysian representatives to attend the 48th MABIMS Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) held in this country from November 4 to today.
At the meeting, the delegation from Malaysia and Yang Berhormat Pehin both exchanged views on the development of Islam in their respective countries.
