BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 29 Nov – Istiqomah reading Al-Quran becomes a practice that creates many noble benefits in addition to getting closer to Allah SWT thus grabbing multiple rewards.
“This practice also increases knowledge and brings blessings in life and worship reading in congregation can also of course strengthen Islamic brotherhood among the congregation thus making the mosque prosperous”.
This matter was explained by the Head of Kampung Sungai Besar, Kampung Serdang and Kampung Sungai Belukut, Lieutenant Colonel (B) Awang Haji Zaini bin Haji Damit at the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for the members of the Tadarus Al-Quran Congregation at Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque, today.
Also participating in the ceremony, the Penghulu of Kota Batu Mukim, Awang Rasli bin Taram and Advisor to the Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque Improvement Committee, Haji Mohidin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha until Surah An-Nas led by Awang Abdul Rahim bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd. Tamin.
The Imam of Kampung Sungai Besar Mosque, Awang Muhammad Hazman bin Haji Mohd. Hairol Azme then led the recitation of Doa Khatam and Tahlil.
The ceremony to express gratitude after the recitation of the 30 components of the Quran is also one of the acts of worship for the members of Sungai Besar Mosque’s Tadarus Subuh Congregation which aims to ‘One Month Sekali Khatam Al-Quran’.
