BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 19 – A total of 30 participants consisting of syariah judges, registrars and Shariah Court officers participated in an internal course titled Enforcement and Implementation Order Workshop which lasted for two days in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Brunei Grand Court Building and the Syariah Courts.
The two-day workshop from November 19 to 20 organized by the Syariah Courts, the National Department of Justice and the Prime Minister’s Department was conducted by an invited facilitator from the Federal Territories Syariah Court, namely the Judge of the Federal Territories Syariah High Court, Yang Arif Mohamed Fouzi bin Mokthtar.
The official opening ceremony of the workshop began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a prayer, followed by a speech from the Acting Chief Registrar of the Syariah Court of Appeal, Pengiran Mohammaddin bin Pengiran Haji Aliakbar.
The workshop aims to provide exposure and increase the understanding, knowledge and skills of the Syariah Court officers in carrying out the role and function of the Syariah Court to ensure that the enforcement and execution of orders are carried out in accordance with the existing provisions.
It also aims to provide a deep understanding to the officers of the Syariah Court in applying the existing provisions related to the implementation of orders as well as understanding effective methods or procedures in ensuring that orders issued by the Court are obeyed and finding solutions to issues arising in the implementation of orders .
